Our Supported Employment Service, who support people with learning disabilities, will be attending the Youth Support Service & Staunton Country Park event - Breakthrough at the Barn.

Our team will have a stall there so please do go and see them for information, advice and support from local colleges for young people with learning and physical disabilities.

The event starts at 11:00am on Thursday 17th May at Staunton Country Park and it is free entry so why not go along and meet the team. There is also badge making, nail art and a yummy chocolate fountain on the day don’t miss out!

We are looking to recruit for Support Workers across our Disability Services in Portsmouth, Petersfield and Fareham & Gosport services.

YOU workers are taking part Stonewall’s ninth annual Brighton Equality Walk to help raise money to tackle homophobia in schools. The day starts at noon on the 6 May with a picnic and an opportunity to meet the hosts, Harry Derbidge from TOWIE and Jane Hazelgrove from Casualty.

For the third year in a row, YOU has made the prestigious Sunday Times top 100 Not-for-Profit Companies to Work For List 2012.

It came in 27th position overall, though came in the top 10 in some categories.

Liz Page, the charity’s director of people and learning, said: ‘We were delighted to hear we scored eighth in the country for Best Manager, and it was great to hear that we were in the top 10 for Leadership, too.’

The charity, which has been providing support, care and advice to vulnerable people in the south for more than 25 years, also came runner-up in the Best for Innovation in Engagement Practice’ award for introducing creative ways of working and engaging staff.

This is the second Portsmouth event planned in partnership between White Ribbon Portsmouth and Solent Feminist network are very proud to be joining in solidarity with women around the world!

Our brilliant Portsmouth Advice Service have been awarded a 3 year contract from the 1st April! That’s great news and congratulations to all the people whose hard work made this happen!
